The Roadwater Performance Club was founded in February 2009 with the aim of supporting local performance talent.
For the first two and a half years of its life the club provided regular open nights at which local mainly amateur performers from Roadwater and surrounding areas developed their skills in front of a live audience. These open nights were interspersed with 'special events' - ie ticket events with professional performers supported by local performers.
Since the foundation of the club the number of ‘open mic’ venues in the area has increased substantially providing plenty of opportunity for performers to practice and develop their talents.
In this evolving context, the club decided to concentrate on the event side of its acitivity providing top class acts of national/international standing.
Aspiring local performers have the opportunity to become support acts at these events helping to keep performance live in the area.
Also David’s fantastic bar continues to offer a wide selection of speciality beers and fine wine.
The club has a good PA system, with mics, a condenser mic and foldback.
The success of the Roadwater Performance Club depends on the many people who contribute their time to making it work- performers, audience and helpers, without whom there would be no club so THANK YOU!
